I have just sold a pair of girls Clarks shoes, I described them as immaculate, they are! Buyer has sent message saying they are not as described as the lights aren't working? They are over a year old, used and spotless. In description lights weren't mentioned i genuinely didn't realise they weren't working !!

She wants me to sort something out? But what, they cost her £9 + £3.50 postage I don't want negative feedback as I've got 100%! The batteries don't last forever so I don't know what she expected!

I'm happy to do something but not sure what?? Help please!

I think that even though the shoes were immaculate unless stated otherwise I would expect the lights to be working as I would take immaculate to mean like new.

You have the option of getting the buyer to return the shoes for a refund, or you could offer a partial refund.

I would apologise to the buyer for them being disappointed with the shoes and ask what she would like to do.

Could you also give her the option of you posting new batteries to her? They might only cost a couple of pounds. A pain, but depends if you'd rather do that or do a refund and relist. Tbh if I was told they were immaculate I would expect the lights to work, but as a buyer would understand the oversight so long as it was fixed.
