How do I complain about excessive postage?

Bought 2 items and seller would not give me a postal discount and still sent them both together. I paid £6 actual post was £2.84 and items were wrapped in 2 bing bags! One item I bought was a bag and is scuffed and not in perfect condition as advertised and noticed crumbs in it when I went to use it today, which has now put me off!

Give them the feedbaack that they deserve.

complain to seller about bag - ask for whatever you feel will resolve the situation for you - partial refund / return

wrt to postage - put it on the feedback comment when the transaction is resolved - not a lot else you can do if you have already agreed to the price & paid

Well when they wouldn't give me a discount I said it was a shame as it would save them from having to post seperaltey.

The return postage I would have to pay to send back, and the cost of a jiffy bag would make it not worthwhile.

So, do I neg them or leave a neutral?

did you ask about discount prior to bidding, or after?
Did you pay for each item separately? If so and they sent in one parcel it was very silly of them because you have only received one parcel and can claim you haven't received the other.

It seems you are unhappy with all aspects of the transaction, therefor you can mark down on all stars. Neg or neut is up to you - include all reasons "unhelpful seller, poor item condition, poor packaging, overcharge on p&p"

Give them the option to reimburse some of the postage and explain you're not happy with the condition of the item. If they refuse or ignore you then they deserve the negative feedback. I am mortified if there is ever any problem with things I'm selling and do my utmost to put it right- it's common courtesy!

When you give feedback you can now give scores for various aspects of the transaction, including the postage cost. I would suggest a neutral or negative overall feedback, with reasons, and a very low score for postage.

Giving a shop seller a low postage score will have an impact because they have tiers of fees and a low rating will drop them onto a higher fee structure.

I didn't ask before I bought but even a 50p discount would have been fine, if still overproced. Thing is, I would have sent the 2 items first class recorded and in a jiffy if i'd overcharged.

I emailed them last week about it and they've not replied.
