I have bought lots on ebay and have 100% positive feedback. I now have lots of stuff I want to sell but have some questions if anyone can help ..?

Wrt postage, do you have to get each item weighed etc. at the post office before you list it or is there somewhere on line that would give me an idea of postage costs. I assume the cost of postage plus a bit extra for packaging etc. is reasonable ?

With larger items, can I leave it to the seller to collect or organise a courier ?

Will buyers be able to see that I haven't sold before and be put off or will they just see the 100% positive feedback ? I'm not sure whether just to put a couple of cheaper items on first to be build up selling feedback and then put more expensive items on after or just wade right in with all the listings

Any other tips for listing would be gratefully received

Thanks

Morning.
I've just finished doing exactly the same thing for the first time, although I didn't have any larger items, only clothes and shoes.
I totally underestimated how much postage was, so instead of sending by first class recorded (as I put on the ads), I had to send everything by second class recorded, and lost out a little bit. Best thing to do is weigh everything (at home - can use kitchen/bathroom scales) then you can look up on ebay or the post office website how much that would cost. Recorded is a good idea so that you can prove you sent everything in case there are any problems. Yes - rounding it up a bit is fine to cover your time / packaging etc. Just bear in mind that you don't want to put the seller off.

Re the larger stuff / courier, you can specify in the description that it is collection only, or they can arrange their own courier if they like. Do a search on welsh dressers or something and you can see what other posters have put.

Don't worry about not having a seller's profile yet - your good buyer's profile will stand you in good stead.

Only thing I would do differently, is I took a whole bunch of stuff to the post office to send at the same time (about 25 items), and caused a bit of riot at the post office as there was only one girl on duty and I had lots of yummy mummies in chelsea tractors behind me saying "I've left my daughter in the car, I just need to drop this off!" etc. [mortification emoticon]. I was there for over an hour. Next time I went, I only took 5 at a time...

Good luck! It's great fun seeing the money coming in, then transferring it to your paypal/bank account in one lump at the end :)
