ive always thought the idea for 'buy it now or best offer' was that the offers would be somewhere near the asking price
eg £1,500 buy it now, you would offer around £1000+ am i mad, have i been biding way to high??!!!

I would have thought it would be nearer £1,400. Hmm
Someone is taking the piss.

if someone seriously wants something they will make a decent offer, otherwise they are chancing their luck and won't mind too much being turned down

skyeplusbump · 13/08/2010 19:06

they offered me £500 bloody quid!!!

when i declined they offered £750!

i know its probably worth even more than my asking price...but i need the money...cheeky git, theyre using up all my offers,im going to have to relist arent i... Sad

thanks btw...thought i was going mad for a second there...

I nearly always get daft offers. If I have £120 or offer and they offer £20 (this was a recent one) I send a counter offer of £115 to them, - lets them know they are being silly.
You can set it to auto reject offers below whatever amount.

skyeplusbump · 13/08/2010 19:44

oohhh, that's a good idea...counter offer.nice!

You don't need to relist. Each prospective buyer gets three offers. As a seller you can receive any amount of offers from different buyers.

I have had offers of £150 for a £600 item and pssy emails from people saying "Well that's all I can afford". Some are so pssy I reply and say - well you need to choose something else then don't you!!
