UGG boots on ebay.

I have tried to list my UGG boots twice. I followed the guidelines and you are allowed to sell genunine ones which these are.

Each time Ugg have got in touch with ebay and had my listing removed saying that fakes can't be sold. I listed exactly as they said you are allowed to, close up pictures you can see the certificate etc and both times I had loads of interest and they would have sold. There are loads of fakes on ebay using words like "UGG like boots for sale" which you are not allowed to put.

Now I am stuck with a pair of unworn boots that I want to sell and I can't.

I would e-mail e-bay. A similar thing happened to me when I tried to sell a pair of Clarks boots. They wouldn't let me describe them as new even though they were new.

You could get into the whole area that Uggs is a word like wellies. In Australia it just means sheepskin boots, it is not a brand.

DetectivePotato · 04/08/2010 19:19

Unfortunately I did get in touch with ebay. I also got in touch with UGG as they requested me to and they never replied. Ebay also got in touch with them on my behalf and they still never replied.

Maybe it is because I described them as new then.

I have a friend who has just sold her genuine ones without a problem - I'll ask her how she did it but it won't be till next week.

DetectivePotato · 07/08/2010 10:48

Thanks, that would be really helpful. Smile

Right I asked my friend and she had no problem at all. Just put them on and sold them. They were a junior size pair - I don'tknow if that made a difference, maybe Ugg don't monitor that stuff so closely. So all I can suggest is better luck next time!

DetectivePotato · 09/08/2010 20:06

Thanks for asking.

I may try again or use DH's account. Last time they suspended mine because of it. Maybe I'll try not saying there are new but been worn once.

What colour and how much are you looking for them?

Phoenix · 18/08/2010 16:31

Oooh I'm trying to convince dh to let me have some too. Can I be next in line if Fimbo doesn't have them? :)

DetectivePotato · 19/08/2010 18:40

They are the black bailey button style, ankle length.

I was looking for £80 plus p & p.

OP posts:
Phoenix · 23/08/2010 12:24

Oh I'd be very tempted if they were brown. Not sure about black ones.

DetectivePotato · 23/08/2010 19:34

Black are lovely! Grin

Go with so much more.

Ok I might have them if no one else comes back on to say they want them. Can I just ask why you are selling them and why only £80? Are they a UK 6? and do you know what p&p would be?

DetectivePotato · 23/08/2010 22:27

I have photos. I'll put some on my profile. They are a 6.5 on the box as Uggs go in half sizes but I am a 6 and they fit. £80 as thats what I paid, my cousin gave me a link to an online shop where she has had several pairs from. Not sure about p & p. The box is large, obviously.
I do like them a lot and they are soooooo comfy but my legs hurt in flat shoes or boots and I need a slight heel. I don't want them to sit and go to waste in my wardrobe.

Photos are on my profile now.

Sorry, yes it is a UK 6.

DetectivePotato · 24/08/2010 20:07

Thats a shame.

Just a shot in the dark, how do you know they are not fake?

£80 for a pair of BB from a retailer is very cheap, in fact unheard of, unless it were somewhere like cloggs, ASOS, Bank, Schuh, M&M, Amazon (actually Amazon not market place) etc, etc I'd be very wary what site was it?

emmyloulou · 28/08/2010 16:58

Just found out how to see pics from here, also the fact you paid £80 for BB (a new line) which like I say is unheard of from a genuine retailer, the UGG label on the back of that boot, unless it's the flash the writing seems very white, it's not on the real ones of that design, in fact the writing isn't white. The seams seem off too unless again that's the picture.

Even with a flash the writing on that logo, looks very white...........

Problem is and don't shoot the messenger here if I were a shopper from those pics, I'd think they were fake. People buy Uggs genuinely and only have issues or realise they have fakes when something like this happens and they try to sell them on, most are oblivious as there are some reasonable clones out there.

Usually ebay are happy if you can provide a proof of purchase stating the design you are selling from a know retailer.

A link to an online shop screams alarm bells tbh, I'd imagine if it was awell known high street shop you would have said oh it was schuh/office/HoF etc.

I'd be very wary to anyone who is interested in these, plus you and your hubby if you list under his account will just end up permenantely banned, if you keep listing, EBAY must be pretty sure in this case as usually they are ok with UGGS. TBH that label screams fake.
