Boden Bundle - how much?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 24/07/2010 17:20

I've got a mini boden bundle up for sale. 10 items. Someone has asked if i'd do a buy it now and suggesteed £15. I don't think this is enough. What do you reckon would be a fair price? I was thinking more along the lines of £25 - £2.50 an item.

God if u can afford to shop in Boden u r obviously not short of a bob or two, would u not donate to a charity shop or to a womans refuge for someone who would need and appreciate the clothes?

snigger · 24/07/2010 17:37

louii ? If you have a computer, YOU'RE obviously not short of a bob or two, why not sell it and donate it to mothers in developing countries who don't have your advantages? Be fair.

GregoryHouse, I'd say if you feel £15 is too low, don't take it, you'll just feel irked if you think they're worth more.

louii · 24/07/2010 17:42

It's an I touch that was given to me
I just always feel sad when I see all the childrens clothes for sale on e-bay etc, I would not dream of selling clothes (believe me we could do with the money) but there are always people less fortunate than myself who I donate too, pay it forward an all.

IMoveTheStars · 24/07/2010 17:57

louii - she asked a question about value of boden online, not your opinion on donating to charity

For all you know the OP could be selecting the charity option to donate a percentage of her sale.

OP - I've sold single boden t-shirts online for £10 before (age 1-2 years, bought in the sale for £8

What sort of things do you have and are they in almost new condition?

RunforFun · 24/07/2010 17:58

I think you could get a lot more more than £2.50 an item.

Tell them politely you'd prefer to go with the auction.

AlaskaNebraska · 24/07/2010 18:01

louii youa re knob

OP, here's a large boden bundle (15 items, but all MB), and that's already at £17 with 4 days left to run

louii · 24/07/2010 18:23

I may be a knob but at least I am not a greedy posh twat.
Apologies to the op as this was obviously not the place for me to get a bee in my bonnet, u were asking for advice and did not deserve my comments.

sailorsgal · 24/07/2010 18:33

I sell my ds's boden clothes as helps me buy him more clothes.

I'm neither posh nor greedy.

To the op I think you could get more than £15

ILoveGregoryHouse · 24/07/2010 19:00

Thanks all. I think I'll just run the auction. The stuff has only been used on my youngest and is in really good condition. I'm having a girl after three boys so it's just the stuff I can't reuse on her.

For the record, I'm not a greedy posh twat either.

posh twat??? no need to get abusive and judgemental.

Wanting to sell things on ebay does not make people greedy.

I buy Boden in the sales, it's a decent price and it wears so well that I can sell it on ebay for just as much (sometimes more) money. There is nothing wrong with that, and helps me finance new clothes.

You should try it - the clothes are excellent and you can sell them once the kids have grown out of them as they will still in in almost new condition, so they end up costing practically nothing!

Lynli · 24/07/2010 19:50

If managing your families finances, to give them the best you can, makes you a posh twat then I shall be pleased to join you in being one.

AlCrowley · 24/07/2010 20:11

@ louii. Judgemental much?!?

Maybe the op can only afford Boden because she sells them on and recoups some of the cost afterwards? I'm sure there are plenty of people who appreciate her selling them on so that they can afford the clothes for their children too.

I've just gotten a huge box - boxes actually - of Boden/Jojo/John Lewis/Next clothes from my SIL which were my nieces. She could have given them to charity instead. Are you going to judge me now?

scottishmummy · 24/07/2010 20:20

if op can get some cash for her clothes good luck to her.no need to be so snippy.its a win win she gets cash someone else gets nice clothes cheaply

ComeWhineWithMe · 24/07/2010 20:24

Holy shit Louii,You sound like a snipey jealous twat!

tethersend · 24/07/2010 20:39

Is this the first time the Ebay topic has kicked off?

I'm impressed

scottishmummy · 24/07/2010 20:41

ebay topic has had some epic fights.the bugaboo debacle springs top mind

IMoveTheStars · 24/07/2010 20:49

tethers, this isn't kicking off?

tethersend · 24/07/2010 21:05

Yes it is, and I'll deck anyone who says otherwise

Can you sum up, sm?

AlCrowley · 24/07/2010 21:07

What was the bugaboo debacle? I remember one bugaboo thread but wasn't the about how awful someone thought they were rather than selling one?

TheBestAManCanGet · 24/07/2010 21:11

My dd sells all her old clothes one ebay and donates the money to charity.

When we were skint I would buy her clothes of ebay and then sell them to fund buying more.

scottishmummy · 24/07/2010 21:13

bugaboo purchased v cheap on ebay BIN immediately relisted mn for double.using the ebay auction pictures . naturally someone noticed and challenged seller.seller denied it, its mine all mine blah blah.was challenged to show different photos and couldn't. the original seller rocked up saying yes thats my bugaboo and im not posting it. the mn seller then did a really long tale of woe about her troubles.ran for ages

mamatomany · 24/07/2010 21:17

What sizes OP i might give you more than ebay for them ?

IMoveTheStars · 24/07/2010 21:30

no it's fucking not! You think you can crash a thread and decide what's worthy? What are you, some kind of royalty?

tethersend · 24/07/2010 21:31
