What happens after adult ED discharge?

I'm just finishing a course of therapy (for anorexia) with the outpatient ED service. Will I then have to visit my GP for check ups? How frequently? Is this effective in keeping people on track?

@Spentpenny not terribly 😐
Weight went up initially but has gone down again incrementally recently. I think I probably need relatively close monitoring. Will this be taken into account?

Probably monthly.

Your discharge should be fully discussed with you. You may not need tier 2 care, but most likely still need regular check ins/ups with your GP

@BringBackCatsEyes is that likely to be monthly? I find weight to be a major trigger so I don't weigh myself at home, so GP appointments will be a significant metric in my progress once weigh ins at the ED clinic finish.

@Spentpenny my therapist does know I'm struggling with it and it's obvious from the weight loss that things aren't amazing.

Why are they discharging you when you are still struggling? Have you asked for further support from them?

I was discharged when I was not in immediate clinical danger, had had over 2 years of intense support, knew exactly what I needed to do, had truck loads of self-awareness and ED services were not able to do more for me. It fact it was likely counter-productive at that stage.
I was told very clearly that I could return if things unravelled badly.

I'm afraid I don't know. I was never weighed at the GP surgery.
