She is restricting food. Just found a weight chart on her laptop, she was 51kg in April and now 45kg.
What do I do??
Be gentle I'm crying so much

How old is your daughter?

and how tall?

GP is your first option, A&E is quicker to get help if she is very low in weight versus her height.

if she is restricting then she will already have an ED, it’s a postcode lottery unfortunately for help.

I am in Berkshire and have been inundated with help. But my DD was at medium risk of death…..so was fast tracked via A&E.

It’s not an easy quick fix, we are seven months in and although out of danger, a long way from normality unfortunately.

Contact BEAT, the eating disorders charity. They are incredibly helpful and can give you loads of useful advice.

You probably need help quickly. Where in the uk are you? I'm sorry but it sounds very much what we've been through and it's been horrendous. But if if you get help soon then that's good.

Contact your local CAMHS eating disorder team who are separate from CAMHS mental health. They can do the appropriate checks and advise from there. My daughter lost a similar amount of weight end of last year and through them we got started on a refeeding plan. It is a long haul but you can do it.

I'd start with a GP visit, if you can speak to the Gp before they speak to your dd. They need to take it seriously, your dd needs bloods, an ECG, pulse and bp checking.

How much is she actually eating? If less than 500 cals a day go straight to a&e.

Start eating reading up on family based treatment (FBT) which is the main treatment for restrictive eating disorders. It basically means you as your dds primary care provider take over all food related decisions and your dd has to eat what you give her, 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.

There's a very supportive parents of teens with ED thread that I'd suggest you find.
