Nhs eating plan making me gain weight

I’m in treatment with the eating disorders service currently, I’m very overweight from years of eating disorders.
Im essentially learning how to eat again, and have been put on a strict plan. 3 meals and 3 snacks. I’ve been doing it for a week and I know I shouldn’t have weighed myself but I did this morning and I’ve put on 2 pounds which is devastating for me. I’m not allowed to count calories on this plan.
I don’t really know what to do. I can’t afford to keep gaining more weight but I also need to treat the disorder.
Had anyone else been on this plan?

The aim is to teach you to eat normally not weight loss. Raise any objections with your team. Mumsnet is not the place for this

Why is Mumsnet not the place?

Why is Mumsnet not the place?

Numerous reasons.
If you saw any thread about food, it's rife with lies, ED and competitiveness. Not healthy.
Secondly no one here knows anything about OP, their medical history etc.
This is not "I want to lose 5 pounds thread for wedding". This is actual health issue.

tommyshelbysbunnit · 14/06/2023 10:57

@Chermeup I understand it's not a health issue and she is getting done good support on here

Are you supposed to be weighing yourself? I’d go back to your team for advice.
Weight fluctuates - need a poo, had salty food, time of month, suddenly started exercising, hot weather fluid retention.

How is eating disorder treatment not a health condition?

tommyshelbysbunnit · 14/06/2023 11:03

Sorry it should have said IS a health condition

Oh God OP sorry I missed the bit about the eating disorder services. I thought it was just the NHS meal plan that is banded around on the Internet as an NHS plan. Totally see why post was deleted, all I meant to say was balance of diet exercise etc but obviously put clumsily. Tried to mean it's normal for weight fluctuations. Apologies again.

It’s ok I’ve actually found this thread quite helpful and supportive :) Thankyou
