Suggestions for good distraction activities
TheOrigBrave · 28/06/2018 11:54
I have a number of distractions activities I can pick up and do for 10 mins. People will understand how these are helpful.
Current activities are: colouring, jigsaw and needlepoint.
I'm finding I'm less keen to do jigsaws and needlepoint during the summer and wondered if people had other activities I could try.

What about watching meditation things on YouTube?

It needs to be something where I'm using my hands really, but I can look
those up for other times. Thank you

I've done some rock / pebble painting.
You can do colours, patterns, sayings, animals etc. There are a lot of fun painted rock groups on Facebook and kids love finding them. You don't even have to be part of a group if you don't want to find yourself. But you can give clues etc.

That's a good idea, that you.
In fact I think I'm just making excuses. I could easily pick up the activities I already have, I just need to work harder.

Crochet. It's easy to learn to do granny squares, and you could knock up lovely blankets for Christmas presents.

I do colouring, drawing, puzzle books, also there's some complicated friendship bracelets which are a good to make.
I'm currently day patient and some of the others do crochet, knitting, making Pom poms or dream catchers.
