Hi @Alfiebear123 We used sperm donation, but I think it's a similar thing with PGTA testing.
We went for it even though it was expensive, and now I am 6-7 weeks pregnant I'm so glad we did.
Just to give you context - our issues were male factor - I'm a healthy mid 30's female with no fertility issues. After IVF with donor sperm, we got 11 embryos, and paid to have 5 of them PGTA tested (about £1000 each).
Only 2 out of the 5 came back as euploid, and we were told that is about normal/ expected, even for healthy people (and the rates are not that much higher for people in their 20's - maybe 50-60%).
Now that I am pregnant, I honestly couldn't put a price tag on the reassurance I feel, because so many miscarriages are caused by chromosomal abnormalities, and those abnormalities are more common than you would think.
If we hadn't had the testing, there's a good chance they would have used one of the embryos which had abnormalities, and it would either not have resulted in a pregnancy at all, or (worse) would have resulted in miscarriage, or a disabled child.
I know this doesn't 100% guarantee that everything will be OK, but it increases the chances so much, and it has given me a peace of mind which is honestly priceless. I would be so anxious right now if I didn't know that this was a good embryo and chances are much higher that things will be OK.
It's up to you, but if you can afford it, from my experience I would highly recommend it.
