So, since there are only 3 posts remaining on the old thread I have made us a new home.

AF arrived for me today and although not what I wanted for Christmas this year made a perfect 28 day cycle so I'll take it! Here's to a January BFP.

Make yourselves comfortable ladies:

My scan went well guys, I couldn't believe there was actually a baby in there, it became more real, the tech showed me and said I measured exactly 8wks. This method really works, even though it's the 2nd time, it's still shocking that it works.

@Waiting2BAMummy I'm not sure, my prediction is that the unions will put up a good fight especially with secondary age. In my honest opinion I think they would be silly to send every year group back full time, we need a rota so we don't have full capacity so it's safer, I do think schools have a massive part to play in cases rising.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if we were all in lock down still come march but who knows.
@Coolhand2 that's fab news congratulations!!!!

Completely agree @Busybee143 my company will have us back in the office as soon as they can. We’d be there now if they thought they could get away with it. We have 3 zoom calls a day with our manager to ensure we haven’t left the country since the last one!

Probably why I have a job interview on Thursday!

@Waiting2BAMummy good luck!! Can't believe we're still in this position almost a year on.

I know @Busybee143, it feels like it’s never going to end. It will though, eventually.

Thank you, not sure if now is the right to move while TTC but I’ve been holding off and it hasn’t happened yet. It’ll be Sod’s law though that I’ll get pregnant if I accept a new job! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing?

I’m so mad at myself so the last 2 months I’ve had my positive opk on CD14 and ovulated on CD15/16 so, stupidly, this month I didn’t start testing until CD12. They seemed to be getting darker yesterday but this morning is lighter again. I’m CD14 today and I did have some pains yesterday but I’m taking soy isoflavones and I do get so cramping on the run up to ovulation when I take them so I didn’t think anything of it.

I was due to meet my donor on Sunday/Monday as that had been arranged before this cycle started 2 days early. When OPK’s we’re getting darker yesterday I messaged him and asked if we could do today and tomorrow instead but now I’m thinking it’s not worth it. I’m going to keep testing just in case but I can’t meet him until 10pm because he’s on shift.

I have some aching but the cramping I had yesterday has gone. Would you still meet him even though it’s ore than likely too late?

Oh sorry. Totally missed that you said. I would meet him tonight. You never know. A chance is a chance.

True @bitheby just don’t want to waste his time. Think I’m going to cancel tomorrow though as definitely think I’ve already ovulated. That’ll teach me for being cocky and not testing early enough.

It's a minefield.

I'm risking travelling this weekend after the timing debacles for the last three attempts. I'm terrified I'm going to be stopped by police.

Bless you @bitheby good luck. I know what you mean I was thinking the same. My donor is only about 15 miles away but travelling at that time of night (I can’t meet him until 10pm) I’m worried I’m going to get stripped.

At least you can make up something plausible. I will be a long way from home. I'm going to stay with my support bubble so I will just say that that is where I am going.

Hello ladies, hope you are doing well.
Congratulations @ChunkyButFunky87 for a baby boy💙. I am hoping we have a girl this time, I find out end of March, still a long ways to go.

How did your interview go @Waiting2BAMummy? I applied for a job and hoping they call me for an interview.

Thanks @Coolhand2

Sorry been a bit MIA ladies, crazy tired, 20 weeks now, got my next scan on Tuesday so hoping that all goes smoothly.

It's just a bit of a pandemic cycle at the mo, eat (far too much), sleep (try too, getting uncomfortable), work, repeat.

Missing having social time, seeing family etc, trying to be 'normal' is hard work, there's only so many Zoom quizzes you can do before you just want to sod off down the pub for a (non alcoholic!) drink and a natter lol

I hope you're all keeping well anyway x

Lovely to hear from you @ChunkyButFunky87 can’t believe you’re 20 weeks that’s gone crazy fast - maybe not for you.

If everyone would like a Sunday evening giggle at my expense. I just ordered a pizza before I climb back on the weight loss wagon tomorrow. I ordered a margarita and went to add extra cheese but then decided that was a step too far and it removed it, in doing so it removed the cheese completely so what arrived was a pizza base covered in tomato sauce 🤣🤣

Oh no @Waiting2BAMummy ! My major hangry, mardy would have come out if I did that GrinGrin

I made myself cook a roast today and it was lovely - making the effort paid off when I really just wanted to sleep lol not sure where the weekend goes to be honest

I was super PO'd @ChunkyButFunky87, not gonna lie! Oh well, taught me I should pay more attention.

A roast sounds lovely, but a lot of effort for one.

I agree, I have no idea where the weekends go, funny that two week days don't go by as fast, unless you're on annual leave of course.

@Coolhand2 congratulations - I’m glad the scan went well.

@Waiting2BAMummy congratulations on the new job - your current job sounds like a total pain.

@ChunkyButFunky87 sorry to hear you are feeling tired - but 20 weeks is great. Where has the time gone.

@Busybee143 glad to hear all is going well with you.

Not much to update from me. I’m at the beginning of the tww. Trying to get less stressed this month - will see how it goes. I don’t hold out too much hope as the donation didn’t go so smoothly this month

Congratulations @Waiting2BAMummy, I am so happy for you🎉 and that's so funny about the pizza lol.
@ChunkyButFunky87, you are half way there, so cool. I hope the scan goes well. Pregnancy is so exhausting, take lots of rest.

@Overlyanxious, it's good not to stress and be hopeful, you might get a wonderful surprise.

Hello ladies,

It's been a good few weeks since I last posted. Time just seems to be flying. Just over 23 weeks now but been a crappy couple of weeks.

My best friend is pregnant, we both fell pregnant together last time (not planned!) and she was 3 weeks ahead of me due date wise but we both miscarried within 5 days of each other.

Somehow we both fell pregnant again and this time I'm 2 weeks ahead of her, so I had my 20 weeks scan, all ok. She had hers the other week and even though she'd had a private scan at 17 weeks and no issues mentioned, NHS scan have found baby doesn't have either lower limb on arms, 1 kidney, hole in heart, toes appear to be missing and part of the chin. I'm just absolutely devastated for her. This is her third, longed for pregnancy.

She had an amnio last week and is awaiting results but it just doesn't look good. I'm just so sad for her and as daft as it sounds, the excitement of sharing pregnancy being taken away.

I know I can't change it, it's just really been a tough week, so I dread to think how she feels.

I really hope you're all doing well x

Bless you @ChunkyButFunky87 I’m so glad everything is going well for you but really sad for your friend. That sounds like an awful situation for both of you.

As awful as it sounds try to enjoy your pregnancy, you’re entitled to you excitement for your longed for baby and you deserve it, not saying your friend doesn’t, obviously.

I hope that she gets some answers soon as the waiting can’t be helping.

Thinking of you both.

I read your post @ChunkyButFunky87 and I don't really know how to respond. How upsetting for your friend, especially for it to be so sudden and unexpected after previous scans. I can understand why you'd be affected by it too.

Considering how many of us there are in the world, life is so very precarious.
