And who don’t have a huge support network or many family members. What are your plans when the children are grown up?

Here are mine!

Solo travel to European countries like Denmark, Finland, Norway etc, If possible stay for a few weeks/one month per year in a different country 🌎

Study for a masters degree/professional development.

Travel with ladies travel groups. Activities with ladies groups such as theatre shows and meals out.

Get a couple of cats! 🐈

Spend time with my children when I see them. (Grandchildren??)

Connect with friends for coffees or drinks.

Possibly join the WI 🧶 🍰

I’m open to suggestions!

What are everyone’s plans?

Will be 49 when DS is 18 and off to Uni in 2028......that is when I am planning to leave my unhappy marriage as well......albeit if I can last that long without leaving

Move in with my DP, probably he will rent house out and move in to mine as mine is bigger.

We’ve been together 18 months and have 2 teens each. Condition of our relationship was absolutely no blended family stuff while the kids are still growing up. We both feel really strongly about that.

However, in 5 years they will all be adults and - although any and all of them will be welcome to live at home - all being well DP and I will move in together.

So we’ll stop paying for two houses etc and actually be able to start putting more money towards retirement.
