How to parent/communicate with controlling ex - apps, plans, advice

I am continuing to experience abuse and control in the form of parenting app, with my ex ignores messages, calendar appointments and expenses on mfw despite their insistence on it be used - so that they can send messages, which I respond to regarding our child. I have expressed to them that reading and ignoring messages does not benefit our child but to no avail.

Does anyone else use alternative apps to make child arrangements or have tactics to promote communication positively.

Although we’re only using messaging (not expenses or calendar), I find myself in almost exactly the same position. Most of my messages are ignored, the few responses I do receive take an age to show up. Given the app is supposed to be a source of record for the courts, if needed, it’s hardly a good look to behave like this, is it?

It’s deliberate behaviour and you can’t do anything about it.
The only solution is to not expect to receive communication I.e. you inform but don’t expect a response or any engagement from them.
Just do what’s best for your DC when they are with you.
(The DC eventually sees through the shite)

Having contacted the app, they do have a fair use policy of responding to messages within 24hrs of read receipt, but as you say the app can easily misused against the two way communication purpose it's there to provide.

Hard to believe it, but the messages which seem to be ignored the most are the ones relating to our DCs’ health and wellbeing. Even then, one the most recent all too rare responses was demonstrably untrue!

@SilverLinings123 I believe it. Abusive behaviour.
The benefit of using the App is that the messages and behaviour can be demonstrated in court, it’s legally recognised. The perpetrator can’t make claims that contradict the evidence.
