I am divorcing atm, and my ex is trying to make the whole situation a hell. He is a narcissist (won’t go into the details, but this is the reason I am separating from him)
I applied for the child maintenance through CMS. He is self-employed, and he declares a rough £2500 net profit. He is a full time taxi driver , and the amount I am about the get for my 5 yo daughter is ridiculous. (£3.50 per week) Just to add, he stopped looking after her, so I have to use school clubs as well more often. He is not buying her anything at all, including food. Is there anything I can do in this situation at all?

£2500 a year?

The OP has said that is profit. Which isn’t necessarily income. Probably isn’t his income.

Won’t be included in any CMS calculations

She didn’t say it was the calculation. She said it what she was about to get. It is possible to vary the payment if he is paying the mortgage and not living there.

The OP is being advised to do things that could have consequences for him that mean he stops paying the mortgage. In which case she will have to pay it. But it is nonetheless the case he is covering one of her biggest expenses by £1000 per month.

Yes, the net profit is £2500 a year. They write a loads of things off with his accountant. I found something on the laptop as well, it is a tax report for this year, and there a big amount he claims back under rent, and the rental address is an address 2 hours away from us which I have never heard of. I took photos of that as well.

This is actualy a good point. Maybe I am better off waiting until the house sells and move separately, just to stay on the safe side. We are in a shared ownership and I pay the rent, council tax and all the other bills, plus food for my daughter and me , oh and childcare and clothes etc..

Can I just say that this is my number one bug bear. I have a number of views on various political aspects but I would v likely vote for a party who would whole heartedly sort this out. US stlye

If he's paying 100% of the mortgage and the house is jointly owned, I would keep quiet for now or you might find he'll expect you to pay half.
