pay rise mid-mediation

H and I separated and he moved out several months ago. We've started mediation but not got to the finances bit yet other than covering it fairly broadly - have focused on childcare and house valuations/future plans for the marital home so far.

Our finances are fairly balanced (including pensions) and we'll be going for 50/50 childcare so no maintenance to worry about. However I've seen a job in my current workplace that I'm a really good fit for and would expect to get if I applied. But it's a big pay rise - £10k per year. Recruitment would happen fast - I'd know within 3 weeks if I was successful. If I do get the job do I have to declare it to the mediator or are finances calculated on earnings at the time of the separation?

That’s unlikely to make a material difference to settlement outcome. If you want the job you should apply for it

I had this @UbercornsGoggles so I contacted my solicitor to let her know and she said it didn’t matter because the affidavit had been submission and that was valid for six months. Now I am in Ireland weddings could be slightly different but things are somewhat similar to both in the UK. Mine was a 10 K pay rise to which on the scheme of things it’s not huge so it shouldn’t make a huge difference.
