H'es left with no address

I initiated divorce last October after many years of putting it off and not being able to afford etc. He took all the proceeds from the family home that was sold and this is what was supposed to be shared out so we go 50/50 (kids live full time with me).

I didn't think he'd agree to mediation but he did and worked with the mediator to come to an agreement which was sent to my solicitor.
A few weeks later he left to live in another country (albeit still in UK). He left no address and has not been in contact with myself or the kids since.
He's never been interested in the kids and rarely spent any time with them. Often just completely ignored them and this was tough on them as now teenagers especially. They now show little interest in him even when I've tried my best to encourage communication and it was me who took them to see him.

I am due to apply for the conditional order in April and my solicitor has all the documents ready (and signed by him). However, obviously not signed off by court.
I have paid all mediation and solicitor costs so far.

I'm just wondering now if he can just pull out and not even communicate with the courts and all this mediation and solicitors costs will have been for nothing.

I really can't afford to start the process again or pay further solicitors costs.
I am at the point where I'd probably just give up on the divorce altogether if he does not comply.

Can anyone please advise?

One more thing is that he stopped paying any maintenance for the kids once he left and also stopped paying any lunch money. I was paying all the bills while he was here for the last year as he stopped working (his choice) to do stocks and shares from home and made nothing. I can't even claim CMS if he's not in work.
He used to be a fairly high earner (80K p/a) I'm currently on about 25K.

You need to ask CMS to do a variation for what they call 'unearned income'.

They can then take anything that's taxable, but not earned, into account for maintenance

If you get any pushback from them get your MP involved. His new line of 'work' absolutely can count toward maintenance

Thank you. He basically 'invested' all the house money into day trading (instead of working). He declared 0 income on the D8 form.
