Non compliance with a lump sum order - what do I have to do to make him pay me?

Hi

My twat of an ex husband owes me £11k of the £15k lump sum in our financial order. He has had three years to pay and I have reminded him repeatedly but shock - here we are - and he hasn’t paid or made any plans to pay.

He owns a flat outright, is full time self employed and has plenty of money to ski and follow his football team around Europe so he can pay, he just doesn’t want to!

Looking online it says to fill in a D11but that looks like it’s for ongoing divorces, ours was finalised 3 years ago. I would rather do it without getting lawyers involved again as I paid for the entire divorce as he wouldn’t engage and I don’t want to pay for this too!

Has anyone got any advice?

I think you will have to go back to court to force him to pay - or maybe make a charge on his property? Sounds like if you get lawyers involved the cost can be added to his debt.

If you have a sealed order. just make the D11 application then they will most likely call a hearing and deal with the non compliance. it’s pretty straightforward

Thank you all!

Sorry I started this thread and then got unexpectedly busy at work (damn cheek on a Friday afternoon!)

So it is the D11 form? I shall fill it in then and send it off and ask them to make him pay for it.

yes you might have to pay fee but write that you want to make a costs order as he’s in breach of your order
