Capital gain liability (or not)?

I am hoping that some of Mumsnet can help me navigate a maze of CGT info online none of which seems to help…

DH and I informally separated in 2019 and I moved into rented property. Then COVID etc…. We applied for Decree Nisi in 2022 and it was granted but we have never filed for decree absolute because selling the family house has been an absolute nightmare. Finally, we have got it done. It’s gone up in value about £90k in the time since we bought it (2015). I have paid half mortgage as well as my rent for all of this time.

Im looking for any help in figuring out if I have to pay CGT, if so how do I go about figuring out how much? My plan is to offset half of this on pension sharing so that DH effectively pays half, but if I owe CGT I only have 60 days to pay apparently which is panicking me a bit.

i should say I do a self assessment but won’t do one in the next 60 days obviously.

There won’t be any capital gain if it’s the only owned property. If either of you since purchased another at the sane time as owning this then there could be

My understanding is three years after the tax year in which separation took place, but I dont know whether that is Nisi or Absolute. If it is Nisi, you should still be OK.
