How many?

How many of us don’t get any nights off at all? I feel like I was a bit shamed on another group as I said I really resent not having any nights off to myself and was told by someone that they don’t know any mum’s that get nights off to themselves, of all the single parents I know they all do get nights off in some form whether it’s 50/50 or eow. I would have thought that was very much the minority to not get any? Is there a way to find statistics on most common parent contact once separated? I tried to look but couldn’t find any, I would have thought every other weekend was the most common, meaning most do get nights off regularly.

Me. I'm a single parent and sole carer of DD with SEN. Her DF very briefly had one overnight a fortnight with her years ago but he has problems with drink, drugs and violence so he attacked her and that stopped. Would I have liked time off? Yes of course, I have a demanding FT professional job, I have lots of opportunities to travel most of which I turn down, but would I let DD near her DF again? Nope. It is what it is.

No contact agreement here, DS father has not been interested since before he was born so solidarity on the no nights off 🫠
I do travel for work from time to time (and pay handsomely for an overnight nanny to do so!) which makes me feel even more guilty about the idea of using a babysitter for the odd night off 'for me'.

Does anyone know where you can find statistics as obviously those that do get regular nights off are unlikely to comment. Ironically the person that said it to me had a partner.
