Has anyone's husband ignored divorce petitions and requests for financial disclosure?

My husband has not signed 2 divorce petitions and has ignored requests for financial disclosure from my solicitor. This has been dragging on for almost a year and a half.
If your husband did similar, what did you do?
My solicitor is advising the ancillary relief route which basically enforces him to co operate but I've heard this is so expensive and we aren't rich.
He isn't signing because he has feelings for me still, he's not signing because he's a stingy POS and doesn't want to have to give me or our daughter anything.

He doesn't have feelings for me still, the above should say.

DH’s ex ignored the divorce papers. He re-sent them at least 4 times and she would text back saying ‘stop sending me these divorce papers, I’m not signing them’. Anyway, he got some advice and was able to get the Judge to use the text messages as proof that she’d received the paperwork and the divorce went ahead without her signing. It cost an extra £50 (not sure why) but it was worth it.

Get some advice on it but it can be done.

Deemed service is when a document or application is legally considered to have been served on a person, even if it was not actually received.

In the context of divorce, a deemed service application is when a respondent does not respond to a divorce petition by filing an Acknowledgment of Service (AOS). The petitioner can apply for a court order to prove that the application was "deemed to have been served" after 14 working days have passed.

To apply for deemed service, the petitioner must:

File a D11 application

Prove that the spouse received the application

Allow a reasonable amount of time for a response before applying for deemed service

The time it takes to receive a response depends on the court's capacity and the availability of evidence.
