Has anyone used Amicable as a service?

Wondering if anyone has any experience of Amicable, specifically the Divorce and Negotiation service?

I’m interested in the quality of the service overall and specifically whether the service is any good when there is likely to be a reasonable amount of negotiation needed over asset split?

There was an article in The Times yesterday called something like "I love my husband, that's why I'm leaving him", which was about a couple who were divorcing amicably as they'd mutually agreed their marriage was over and seemed to agree on everything related to they. They were using Amicable so you might want to read that.

I haven't used Amicable but have read quite a lot about it. It seems to me to be a great idea for couples like the one in The Times, but not something I can see working for those who have to have - as you anticipate - a lot of negotiation over finances. Amicable does not use solicitors. If you don't agree about finances then fundamentally you need legal advice on your position in order to inform your position in financial negotiations. That doesn't mean you have to go to court. Mediation is a great alternative. I'm getting divorced and despite me and STBX starting off very far apart on finances, we have done a deal in mediation after several sessions. The costs of that have been significantly lower than litigation.
