Resources for very acrimonious divorce

I am going through a hellish, extremely acrimonious divorce, it is awful and I'm getting close to breaking point. I know all divorces are awful but mine has involved a very hurtful affair, court, very expensive legal fees, financial ruin that we will never recover from, having more children with the OW. It's a bloodbath that's now run for several years with no sign of it being over.

I am looking for recommendations, ie advice / resources / kindred spirits, eg for podcasts, books, articles of people where their divorce has been extremely litigious and long drawn out?

I am struggling to find someone with the same experience as me and need to know that eventually it does get better / end.

Look up Supriya McKenna the Life Doctor

I know you’re looking for emotional support but what is it that’s taking so long and racking up expensive fees? If you can sort that out you can start to recover …

Thanks for the recommendation @Mumof3confused I will do.

@millymollymoomoo unfortunately my exdh has caused this whole situation, he won't negotiate and we are on a court timetable which is taking literally years. I can't afford to just walk away with nothing, whicb is probably what he is trying to make me do. I can't force him to negotiate.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this. It will be resolved, although it might not feel like it now. My divorce took years (also after infidelity). Try to communicate via lawyers - it’s hard to negotiate with people you can’t trust. Please take the time to get the result you need. Chumplady.com is essential for anyone dealing with infidelity and gaining a new life. All the best and good luck.

I'm sorry you had to go through this as well @Ping 💐

Ah yes thanks for the reminder about Chump lady, I read her blog when I first started going though this, but that was a million years ago now.

Ah gosh I’m so sorry. I understand how it feels, the courts are so much more difficult than I thought it would be - but there are many resources out there to help like the ones the others commented here.
see if this one might help too!

I used these help guides to help me through the court process because I couldn’t afford to get a solicitor and my ex had a whole legal team around him. I had one for a short time but nothing got done and I just couldn’t keep paying so much. The resource is free so didnt have to spend thousands, my friend used it whilst also using a solicitor though so she could do some of it herself e.g. forms and save money where she could. Hope this might be able to help! It also really helped me understand what was going on in my divorce xx
