My friend had pointed this out for me as she found it on the internet.

Me and my husband aren't agreeing with the children arrangements as he want full custody. (Im thinking of their well being and for them to be and feel safe)

Because

My husband is a chronic gambler for many years. Hes angry at me because I've asked for a divorce.

Can you tell me more about the CAFCASS please?

Avoid at all costs
Do not rely on them to do what's best for your dc..
Avoid at all costs.
4 year complicated case. Senior Cafcass officer who was also my dc's legal guardian after I refused to go along with anything suggested....
He admitted on the stand his entire case was based on 'facts' he had received from my exh.
Judge threw him out and exh thankfully lost due to my due diligence...

You can't avoid CAFCASS.
They are Court appointed. You have no choice but to engage with them if they are appointed within your case.
I have been in family court proceedings for 3 years now and we are not even at our final hearing first.
The biggest piece of advice I can give you is that unless it is significant domestic abuse of you or abuse of your Children, the non-resident parent usually gets what they want so I will brace yourself.
They may make an order that he attends Gamblers anonymous or some type of reformation course for Gamblers, but it won't be seen as a means to affect his parenting.
If you can try mediation I would suggest that at first. I would try to avoid Court at all costs because it means it will be out of your hands.

And just to reiterate when I said the NRP usually gets what they want, I mean 50/50. I don't believe a Judge would rule that residence is given fully to your husband unless you are posing a risk to your children. The status quo will be kept.

Even though he may struggle to pay his finances ie bills etc?? As he always has been.
