Conditional order delays

Applied for divorce as single applicant back in November - waited 20 weeks, applied for conditional order on 18th April and advised I’d hear by 16th may about court date. This came and went, I contacted them and they said oh it was put back in the queue because of an admin error which they begrudgingly admitted was on their part. They told me the delay would be a week (23rd May) this also came and went so I contacted them again and they said I shouldn’t have been told that and it would take up to 6 weeks for it to be reviewed again by a legal advisor.

im so cross and upset that this is being delayed, there is no financial order or anything like that - should be straight forward but now I’m still sat waiting for an email about it being pronounced in court and from what I’m reading this could add an additional 4-6 weeks waiting for the hearing. So I could be looking at another 3-4 months before I’m legally divorced. I just wondered if somebody could clarify how long between receiving the hearing about the court date was the actual hearing and when the divorce payment should be paid? It’s really not very clear although in terms of the relationship side of things it’s very straight forward, no property of money disputes etc just a straight forward legal separation.

any insight greatly appreciated :)

@SouthernBelle86

Even if you have nothing, if you were married for a very short time or if you both get on great and would never claim against each other, you should still get a financial order. Anything can happen in the future, and you get lifetime protection and peace of mind for such a small cost.

If you've applied for a no-fault divorce already or read the news about no-blame divorce, you might be asking - what is a financial order?
