Hi
I'm in the process of getting divorced, should be done start of April.
My son is 13 and has met me new partner which he doesn't have any problems with however he hasn't stayed over yet ,so do I just let him stay over or do I ask my son and ho with his decision.
I want to allow him his say but does there come a point when u say he's stating.

I appreciate any advise

Thank you

As a single adult you are entitled to an adult relationship and all that entails. But you have a responsibility to show judgement on how you present this situation to your child.

At 13 does he understand adult relationships? Have you spoken to him and explained why you want a boyfriend and what that will mean for him.

Have you thought about what this could do to your relationship with your son. He may decide he has a father and that’s who he wants to live with.
