Ex Husband is transporting my two boys, ages 13 and 16 by motorbike against my wishes. The life 360 app which is installed showed that he was breaking the law by driving 37 in 20 zone. he says he can do whatever he wants and is not risking their lives. There is constant gaslighting as he is a narcissist. He has the means to uber them to school as its only 4 times per month. Frankly would rather they are alone in an uber than on the back of a bike in central London.

For the speeding you can report your concern to the police, especially if you know the route he will take and time and date. Other than that is he breaking the law? If not, it’s up to him how he parents.

Unfortunately, your kids can legally ride pillion, so other than speeding, which the app won't count as proof of, he hasn't really done anything wrong.

As long as the kids are wearing helmets it’s perfectly legal really & they might even be enjoying it ( I did as a kid )

CherieBabySpliffUp · 07/02/2023 20:20

Not both at the same time surely?

VargaV · 07/02/2023 20:46

Both at the same time?!

Unfortunately you cannot do anything about the motorbike, as that is legal, but while he couldn’t keep them safe (as he’s speeding), I wouldn’t allow them to see him.

Why can’t they use public transport to get to school given you live in London? Are they wearing full protective equipment - leathers, boots, gloves, spine protection as well as proper helmets? I wouldn’t be happy but I’m not sure you will get anywhere with preventing the sixteen year old riding pillion. Did he take them on the bike when you were together? Perhaps you could argue a safeguarding concern if he is riding the bike at speed in full kit and is then taking the thirteen on the back just with a helmet, especially if it not properly fitted.
