Help with Budget for Leaving

I need to know if I might have enough money to leave this year or not. I am only able to squirrel away £20 here or there. I know the amounts can only be estimates but there's a huge difference in my ability to find a couple of hundred pounds compared to thousands. If anyone has divorced or moved recently I would appreciate the help!

I would need to sell the house, approx value is £200,000. I hope to buy another for approx £140,000.

Divorce
Divorce Solicitor. If amicable and straight forward what might the minimum be?
Court processing fee is £600?

House to sell
Estate agent fee - ?
Conveyancing Solicitor - ?
Removal company, same city - ?

House to buy
Conveyancing Solicitor - ?
Homebuyers survey - £600?
Stamp duty , at 2%, - possibly £1,500?

Anything else I need to budget for?

Not divorced yet, but been going through budgeting on various scenarios.

Even if amicable will need consent order drawn up by solicitor. Can you get a free/min cost consultation to get any Q’s answered and give costings?

Selling costs usually estimated by solicitors at 3% and deducted before equity split % calculated. Can ask local EA what they charge - varies around country.

Ring round local conveyancing solicitors for estimated selling/buying fees.

Other large costs would depend on what you are buying - fitted appliances, wardrobes or will you need to buy? (Appreciate may not know until chosen property unless you plan to get a new build).

Getting broadband and TV services installed can have an upfront cost.

Think about what will you be taking from current home both in way of furniture and smaller items that soon add up.

Do you need removals, or could ‘man with a van’ do it. Again, need local quotes.

Stamp duty is 2% over £125k - so £300 if buying @ £140k.

Thank you both! Totally forgot about possible service connection fees, and we won't talk about my terrible maths Blush
