Life Insurance/Income Protection

Hi all,
Now that my marriage has ended I need
to change my life insurance to include income protection. Having two teenagers I feel this has to be done as I haven’t got the security if something happens to my health etc. I don’t have any living parents either.

If anyone has this can I be cheeky who you’re with and what, approximate, cost it’ll be per month.

I’m mortgage free at the moment but will probably have to get a £50k mortgage when we sell the family home and I have to purchase another property. No other debt.

Thanks.

Hi, I work for an insurance broker and I also have income protection, critical illness cover and life cover policy. The income protection is vital and if you don’t suffer from any major illnesses then you should be able to get cover right away. The earlier in life you take on a policy the cheaper they are, but if you have health issues it is not impossible just takes longer as the insurance company you apply for cover with may want to write out to your gp for information to support your application
