Unreasonable Behaviour Wording

Hi All,

Newbie here so hoping someone can give me advice. Have read past posts but need something more specific to me.

I am planning to apply for a divorce myself on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.

Husband is in agreement with the divorce although may not be happy when he sees the reasons in black and white but don’t believe that he will contest.

We have not been living together for 6 months.

I really need guidance or examples of wording the the form as have read various advice and find it confusing. Just don’t want the application to be rejected so need to get it right.

The reason for wanting a divorce is that -

  1. Husband was using drugs for a number of months for the later part of last year on a regular basis. This was in our family home where our 3 children live (aged 20/18/15).
Suspected abuse for months but when questioned husband on this he denied and told me I was wrong to accuse and I had problems even thinking of such a thing and made me feel that I had issues.
  1. Husband was arrested for fighting and failed to tell me of this. This was later settled out of court. I was unaware of any of this.
  1. Husband has had various issues at places of work resulting in financial instability.

Are these enough reasons?
Do I need more detail - examples?

Looking forward to your advice

Go bland. The reasons don't really matter.

So for the arrested for fighting - the respondent concealed an arrest from the applicant, making her feel alienated and distressed.

For the drugs - the respondent took illegal drugs in the house where the applicant and children also live, causing her great distress.

The money issues - the respondent has failed to contribute financially to the family for a number of years, causing the applicant to bear this responsibility alone leading her to become anxious band stressed about money.

It's just a formula - behaviour, example, effect on your feelings. You don't need much detail.

You can even go with - the respondent no longer socialises with the applicant, causing her to feel lonely.
