Suitable houses

Hi. I'd like some advice. I've asked my solicitor but not had a reply.

My directions fro the FDA say I need to identify 3 suitable houses to meet my housing needs. The thing is, I have a progressive disability so technically the FMH isn't "suitable" in the long run. I'd like to keep the children here as long as I can though.

Do I give any narrative comments on what is suitable for the long term for houses? I want fully accessible housing when I move, and because of moving costs and disruption, I want to move as few times as possible.

But all that makes housing way more expensive for me. I'm in a city, and will need somewhere big enough for a ground floor bedroom and bathroom.

I want to know of I get to define "suitable" like that?

Yes, you definitely get to define suitable, it may be that ultimately a judge decides if your divorce goes that way, or you might need to compromise, but start off by being very clear what you need, don't sell yourself short. Be reasonable, back it up with facts and stand your ground.
