We are stuck living in the same house, neither can afford to move on. He works full time I do not work at all, partly because of him and partly because of my anxiety. I have been using my own savings (from a inheritance) for over a year now and it's dwindling away. Before that I used benefits I was entitled to for my sons DLA. That has now changed to PIP so the money is for my son only now. Can I reasonably expect my husband to give me money to pay for day to day things like food and clothing etc. He pays for almost everything else and boy does he like to remind me. Years ago he liked to make me beg for money I needed and to justify everything I spent. Just a small part of his controlling behaviour.

have you looked into what benefits your entitled to? Could be difficult if you're still living together but maybe call cab or look online.

You’ll need to apply for ancillary relief - essentially an interim financial provisions order - while working out the actual divorce settlement

Ps im not a lawyer but so wive told me it’s possible to essentially arrange an interim financial agreement whe working out the longer term and final settlement
Have you got a solicitor as they will advise

I'm pretty sure I'm not entitled to any benefits because of savings
