Help with divorce paperwork

Hi. I wondered if anyone could help with what needs to be written on the divorce paperwork. I have applied under unreasonable behaviour and it was sent back as I did not give enough detail. How much detail do I need to put? Thanks

Hi - try wikivorce.com you should find what you are looking for there

I was told by the Mediator to put things like:

  1. He did not listen to me or respond to things I said and I felt ignored and shut-out.
  2. We no longer had an intimate relationship, he had lost interest in me and I felt unloved
  3. He prioritised his own needs over mine in out spare time and I felt neglected.

So it's a problem followed by how you felt about it. They don't have to be real I was told, although it's better if they are, you'll need 5 or 6 examples of those. I thought no-fault divorces were in now?

should read: ' in our spare time'

Ideally come up with grounds that aren't too incendiary if possible so he is unlikely to reject them - assuming you both agree to the Divorce.

My husband divorced me with grounds like "didn't support him emotionally".

I more than likely went OTT with the 'novel' I sent in but I wrote about 6 separate paragraphs across a page and a half. I kept the wording simple and was just totally honest about how exactly he made me feel, what he did that caused the breakdown, and the effect on our life together. I must have done a pretty good job because I only filed the paperwork at the end of August and got the decree nisi through today. If you wanted to PM me I'd be happy to read through what you've got x

Meant 2 and a half pages- probably way to much info but I do tend to waffle on a but anyway 😅😉

3 or 4 examples. I used to say, “first, worst and last”. What was the straw that broke the Carmel’s back?

Thank you so much for all your comments, that really helps. I had written a bit of an essay as it was rejected before, but wondered if it was a bit too much. I will make sure I have first, worst and last as well.

There was certain phrases I was advised to put on mine and although I only wrote one paragraph it was worded in a certain way upon advice from a solicitor friend. Without knowing what the unreasonable behaviour was in your instance it's hard to advise on exact wording but I was told to explicitly state that I due to XX behaviour the situation has become untenable and I deem it unreasonable to be expected to continue living with the respondent as husband and wife
