CSA involvement

Hi all, I have been separated from my wife for three years after she had an affair. We have a 15 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. We are very amicable. We both have moved on well and have new partners. I want to file for a divorce to finalise it all. I read that the courts insist on involving the CSA. Is this the case? We have equal access and share child related costs so don't want them to start poking their noses in and upsetting what is a good arrangement. Any advice would be appreciated.

The CMS ( as it is now) do not need to be involved is child maintenance is paid at or above CMS rates. Use their on line calculator if you are paying that or more you have nothing to fear.

At that age they will ask the kids what they want. They will be involved but unless someone says it isn't working it will only be rubber stamping.

The above poster is referring to child contact, not maintenance - which sounds amicable and you have sorted.

You don’t need to go through the CMS (was CSA). You can have a ‘family based agreement’ and agree between you.
