Ex is ignoring my solicitor and his own

My solicitor sent the consent order (which his solicitor agreed to) and the transfer of equity forms to my ex's solicitor in September. She's chased them numerous times with them coming back saying they've received no instructions from ex. She's now sent them to ex directly.

Would the judge think he's just being a dick and pass it in court if ex carries on ignoring my solicitor? It's been a 3 1/2 year slog to get this far. I've said I'll take on all debts if I can have house equity (they balance eachother out), we each keep our own pensions and he pays minimum maintenance

Have you considered what is fair in regards to your actual contribution to the marriage?

Ss have you considered how nasty all your comments are tonight? OP ignore him

Ss has a point in a way ...perhaps you should take it to court ... and ask for more.

If ex is going to fight/stonewall when you are willing to settle for approx an even split - and you're then forced spend money to go before a judge - perhaps you should take that opportunity to ask for 70/30 in your favour.

Might focus ex's mind a little. 😉

To OP

Your ex's Solicitor can give him advice, but can't make up his mind for him. Possible that your ex thinks the proposed Consent Order is unfair.

If it ends up in the Courts they wil decide what is a fair split taking into account all circumstances. They have the power to award costs against your ex if they think he has prolonged the proceedings without good reason.

It's just so frustrating!

During the marriage I worked full time then 30 hours when DS was born then 17 hours plus a Saturday job when DD was born. I was the higher earner until DD was born.

I left my job to go to university to train as a nurse - him & his family said I 'should look after mum children, my husband and have a nice little job'. I thought in the long term me getting a career was a good thing - they didn't, in laws said as far as they were concerned I didn't exist and he never stuff up for me
