Rights as SAHM

Have been stuck in a long and lonely marriage for 20 years.
I'm a SAHM mainly because DH runs a business (which i helped him start) and works crazy hours. 2 DC young teens.
I am a 25% shareholder in the business along with DH, his business partner and business partner's wife.

I have wanted to call it a day for at least 3 years but pathetically am too scared. I receive a small income from the business but it's not much and I feel incredibly vulnerable. I have no clue what my rights are in this situation

Why didn’t you work if kids are teens? If you are a shareholder then you have an investment in that firm.

Should clarify I did have a good job but we both decided I would become a SAHM about 10 years ago to give some stability to our home life.

I am currently applying for jobs but am aware that having been out of the job market for so long it would be a basic wage.

It's good that you have been there for your children as they have grown up. But really your starting point needs to be a solicitor as no one on here knows exactly what your situation is, they will all give there advice and opinion but it's worthless really as it may not be the case for you. The Devils in the detail of you and your husbands finances and how that is legally structured.

Information to think about
How successful is the business? What is the value in your shares if you chose to sell them ? How much of a return do you get from the business ?

Are you both on the mortgage, is it paid off?
Does he have a pension -

my mums best mate divorced her husband after about 30 years, she hadn't worked outside the home for 20 years, but she had put a chunk down on the house, she ended up with 3/4 ownership of the house,( half each, she got another chunk though as she put a inheritance down off the mortgage) so only had to get a small mortgage to buy him out, half his pension and a monthly payment for the children's upkeep, she did quite well. She had to go out to work to pay the small mortgage, but is much happier now.
So everyone's situation is different, with very different outcomes

Thanks @Bourbonbiccy
That's given me a starter.
What worries me the most is that we have a sizeable mortgage that no way would I be able to take on by myself
