Hi all,
In my rational moments I know I am better off. I am free. DC live with me. I have a lovely house, detached, all mine (and banks 😉). I left him, abusive WNexh.
But in order for short, swift break I was rightly advised to sell him house to move on. I had already been bullied into leaving, he changed locks & I was scared of him.
Now I when I see beautiful house I am v pissed off - I paid for that!
Tell me to get a grip - if I could just have a couple of things to think from you lovely ladies, I will be able to get over this!
Aaagh, I'm making myself cross!

And some Flowers.

It does sound like you have lots to be grateful for, OP. And the best revenge is a life well-lived, as they say.

Can see why you'd be fuming though. Can you rise above it and think positive thoughts about your many blessings (but pray for a plague of woodworm and dry rot to afflict his house in dark moments).

Bumping this for you for more advice from others.

I like the advice to rise above it, be thankful and also to pray for woodworm and dry rot! Sounds like the perfect balance there Wink

I know what you mean though OP. I would feel resentful if my STBXH were getting to keep the house, even though he does no household maintenance so would leave the house to ruin and I believe he also has hoarding issues that will spiral once he doesn't have any obligation to make room for other humans (he's an addict and I think the behaviour affects all aspects of his life)

So, your old house might look nice OP, but it is not a home. It has a huge cockwomble issue (as well as the woodworm and dry rot). You're better off in your lovely new home - that is where your future lies Smile
