Quckie Divorce?

Ex and i separated almost 3 years ago. About 18 months back i asked if we could start divorce proceedings, he didn't want to so we've been in limbo ever since. I would like to divorce, partly because i hate being in this limbo of his making and partly because he's still very airy fairy re contact with dcs and i think we would all benefit from things being put on a more official footing.

Funds are very tight and i've been looking online at companies offering fast (and cheap) divorces (inc Quickie Divorce) and wondering if this would be a good road to take? QD reckons it can be done for around £67 which seems very cheap so i'm wondering if there's a catch. ....would be grateful for any advice.

This figure does not include the court fee of £550.

There is no such thing as a quickie divorce, regardless of what companies promise, it will depend on your local court/divorce centres processing times.

No company has any influence over this.

You can actually download the forms for free and complete them your self at:

www.gov.uk/divorce/overview

Fee remission is available if you are in receipt of benefits or on a lower income:

www.gov.uk/get-help-with-court-fees

www.divorcebox.com/fee-remission/

Hope this helps
