I am a year post separation. Ex v bullying. He's in fmh. I had to leave with ds. I have no access to house as he changed locks.

I changed solicitor earlier this year as the last wasn't local and felt this is going to end up in court and it'd be too expensive.

New solicitor seemed good as first but now she never returns my calls, feel fobbed off with junior partner or secretary. Ex refuses me entry to retrieve my things or get house valued. He was extremely threatening via phone today but still can't speak to solicitors. Are they all like this? How much effort have yiu found they make?

Solicitor going back on previous advice and junior partner now telling me to apply to mediation again but I don't want to mediate asked it's not enforceable and he's a,psychopath (not joking).

Any opinions or experience please

Make a formal complaint to the solicitors & move again if you have to, although it would incredibly annoying.

Mediation can be a pre-requisite for certain court orders, but solicitor should explain this in detail when you raise concerns.

However, in instances of domestic abuse you can have separate mediation meetings, as appose to a joint mediation, again your solicitor should have explained this

Make a complaint using internal complaints procedure, its always the first step

And if things don't improve you can make a complaint through SRA

If they don't up there game, improve communication and make you feel reassured about them professionally/ action they are taking, change sols
