Financial settlement first court hearing - what do I take

I have been divorced over a year but have still not settled with my truly obstinate exH. We now have a first hearing next week. There is lots of paperwork floating around and I have to get myself up to central London early in the morning. Do I need to bring any paperwork, my Form E, his Form E.
I have a solicitor.

sorry to hear it's taking so long for you, fingers crossed for it getting settled at the first hearing. Flowers
Sorry I can't offer any advice - but didn't want to read and run.
Maybe try posting again on the relationship board, it's a lot busier over there and I'm sure some one will be able to help.

Your solicitor should thoroughly brief you about what to take and what to expect. You need to be prepared, emotionally too! Ask your solicitor.

Sorry to butt in, but don't you have to have the finances sorted before you divorce? My STBXH is being a twunt over finances also but I sooo don't want to wait for the divorce!! I issued papers a month ago.

Nope, not at all! The time lag between decree nisi & absolute is meant for you to sort your finances, but you can go to absolute without having done so.
My exH was being a dickhead about finances & I was desperate emotionally to be divorced. You are advised to get finances settled, but you don't have to. In my case, I wasn't asking for spousal support & the kids are over 18.

Thanks baby my ex was the applicant & his solicitor neglected to serve us the first time ( Dec) so got re-scheduled for today.
I had some stuff on my iPad & my lawyer had the bundle, but the day consisted of me sitting in a small meeting room with my solicitor, while she popped in & out, having discussions with ex's barrister over the " questionnaire" which is basically a series of challenges/requests for more info re the Form E from both sides.
Then we all spent about half an hour in front of judge, very astute & no nonsense type who shot down ex & his barrister on a number of points. So it went ok ( though my fond hope was that he would withdraw - no luck.) Reality may dawn eventually & his face looked like thunder at the end.
He wants money from me.
Ain't gonna happen.
