Consent orders - does it matter which solicitor?

Just that really..... my ex-H and I have finally, I think (hope) come to an agreement about the finances after a long and weary road, so we will need to draft a consent order as part of our divorce.

At this stage, we are trying to keep the costs down, so does it matter which solicitor we use for drafting an order? Do I lose/gain anything from using my own solicitor, who obviously understands my side of things rather than his, instead of somebody new who would probably charge less? Or could we use his, who has only been involved for a short time?

We've been quoted £750 plus VAT for it, and have no idea if that's fair or not. We're in the SE, if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

Babybarrister,
I am on the cusp of getting my sol to draft a consent order. Up to this point I (the petitioner) have done everything, without much recent advice from the sol.
My husband has refused to get legal advice of any description (he is unemployed and doesn't want to 'waste' money on a lawyer, as well as having a very low opinion of the profession overall).
Does this mean that my consent order will be thrown out if the judge realizes he hasn't had the necessary advice? I really can't afford to pay for him to receive this advice in my situation, but need the consent order to be granted to get my house back (in exchange for a very substantial amount of money which will wipe out my cash savings)...
