A bit of a problem...

I separated from my emotionally abusive and bipolar husband about 18 months ago. I finally got him to agree to move out of our jointly mortgaged property and rent a flat.
Since then I have been living in the family home with him still on the mortgage and although he has not helped me pay it, he has been paying maintenance for our two kids.
However, 2 weeks ago my ex was unfortunately sectioned due to stopping his bipolar medicine suddenly and having a huge manic episode..
Obviously he is now off sick from a job which only pay statutory sick pay. He has no family or friends over here to sort his financial affairs out as he is foreign. He pays rent on a flat and has a car on HP as well as other debts.

My first concern is what will happen with my maintenance. I rely on it to survive and I don't mean for luxuries-it is essential to help with my bills.

Secondly what if he loses his flat and tries to demand he moves back in here. We are not legally divorced-can social services force me to let him move back in and put a roof over his head (if they did I would move in with family as there is no way I would live with him but is still a concern)

Please don't read this and think I am being harsh about his ill health. He deliberately stopped taking his medication and had been verbally aggressive with me and physically aggressive with my son prior to this sectioning.

You do not have to have him back into your home. My partner has recently been released from a secure psychiatric unit and I was asked if I was happy to have him home by the home from hospital team first ( he threatened suicide in front of our children )
