DIY FORM E - who does it go to?

Hi all, my husband has filed for divorce (separated for 5 years). I am not represented; trying to muddle through on my own. His solicitor has asked me to let them know when I am ready to exchange financial information. Are they talking about submitting a form e? If so, do we agree a date to exchange or do we submit our form e's to court on the same day? Do I just forward with case reference number? He wants us out of the house but both my children (18 and 21) are at College and University and I'm hoping to keep the house until they have finished their studies as I can't buy him out just yet.

if he has only filed for divorce then you just need to provide his solicitor with copies of all your financial information, ie twelve months bank statements, evidence of any assets (savings, pensions etc) and any debts, ie credit cards and loans.

if he has issued ancillary relief proceedings within the divorce (which i wouldnt have expected because you sound like he has just issued divorce proceedings and finances havent been discussed with his solicitor yet) then you would file a Form E (in this case you would have had an Order from the court telling you when to file it and other documents you are required to file at later stages).

collect your evidence together, photocopy it for his solicitor and then telephone to arrange when you (and his solicitor) will put it in the post to each other.

Oh thanks so much countydurhamlass that has really helped me! I've seen the form e and it's a lengthy document to complete. This sounds a 'little' easier. Do I need to give pension statements and do I need to include the mortgage statements which I have paid over the last few years?
Much appreciated.

the solicitor will want the cetv (cash equivilent transfer fund value) of your pension, and yes include mortgage statements
