I have 3 solicitors for initial consultations and now don't know which to choose!
One seemed very confident, felt would fight for me, but doesn't offer mediation/collaborative services
Another was very nice, but fairly inexperienced - only about 6 years
The other was very experienced but seem to have less "fight" in her and also seemed to think i'd get less than the other 2.
Both the 2nd and third one offerred mediation/collaborative services
Any suggestions!!

Mediation and Collab are only of use if your STBX will go for it too. If he'll go for the collab, look at your local collab pod websire and maybe choose someone more experienced. But go for Collab. court isn't fit for purpose, but sometimes is the only option. Collab is great (but I would say that wouldn't I :) )

Agree with collaborate with regards to mediation and collaborative law.
With respect, 6 years experience is not fairly inexperienced. In my experience a lot of fairly newly qualified lawyers are more keen/enthusiastic than some of the dinosaurs our there Wink

I would say be careful of the very confident, pushy ones. A friend had one of these who told her to fight via the courts as he was sure he could get her more than offered via mediation and it is looking as though she will end up with less (and that's not counting all the bills!)

go for mediation - worth a try and gets you talking with an independent family professional.
