Hi just after some advice please. I have got a Libre 2 sensor that is not automatically scanning and rely on this for nighttime control. If I contact Abbott are they likely to replace for this reason?

Where do you get them from? When DH had a problem with a sensor he went back to his chemist and they got him a replacement, I assume they send it back to the manufacturer.

Prescribed by GP on advice from consultant.

Yeah just report it online they’ll post a new one. Or deleting and reinstalling the app usually fixes it.

Just received a replacement sensor after reporting a fault on Friday

My husband is in this system via the NHS. If there is a problem with a sensor I tell Abbott directly who replace it promptly, no problem. They often send a bio hazard envelope to return the faulty one free of charge. Their customer service is excellent.

As far as I am aware, their NHS contract relies on a certain level of reliability, therefore they are keen to make sure you get a replacement for a faulty one

NB if you “start” a sensor with the reader, you will have to scan with your phone for the life of that sensor. Beware of IOS updates on iPhones, sometimes it gets out of sync with updates to the Libre app. And 111 can get you an emergency prescription for a replacement if one fails and you have no spare/ can’t wait for a new one to arrive from Abbott

When that happened to me it was because permissions from the Libre app had suddenly changed on my phone. I'd check software issues before returning the sensor.

Offload and reinstall the app usually fixes this

if it doesn’t then Google libre sensor support form and you can fill that in or call for a replacement

My husband just uses the reader, and it’s fine. He doesn’t have the app on his phone.
