Celebrating as I've dropped from 45 mmol on my HbA1c test to 41mmol since March so I'm no longer pre-diabetic. Lost 5kg (I was never overweight but had crept up over the years) and cut right down on sugar and refined carbs while eating more vegetables, protein, legumes and nuts. I also went on an NHS healthy eating course which helped and have been doing the Slimpod healthy eating/diet programme. Now I need to keep it like this. I'm going to focus on maintaining the diet - which doesn't involve starving thank goodness - and exercise more.

You star, I've done the same and it is NOT an easy change to make. I know lots of people don't manage to reverse things. You must be over the moon, congratulations

Thank you! I hope you manage it. I'm sure the weight loss is the main factor. I cut out anything with added sugar completely to kick start the weight loss. I found the NHS course for pre-diabetics very helpful and I still listen to a Slimpod hypnosis every night which I also think helps me.

Thank you. My Dad had type 2 diabetes which gave me some extra motivation. Have you found it easy to maintain a healthy weight/dietary changes?
