I would have thought that granola was too carby/sugary for a diabetic? Weetabix Is also very carby.

Dp eats breakfast muffins, smoked salmon or asparagus and boiled eggs, yogurt (full fat no sugar) and berries, cheese and meat, or almond flour pancakes that he makes the night before and warms up. At the weekend he sometimes has bacon and eggs or an omelette

Unless you have a tiny portion most are really high in carbs. M&S make a grain free one though, that’s really low, with only 8.2g carbs per 100g.

Granola (and Weetabix) are mostly stuck together with sugar.

There are loads of low sugar granola or muesli around
this Lizi brand is 1.9gms a portion Other brands are bio &me, Moma . I use unsweetened almond milk (califia vanilla flavour is really nice) which has no sugar and is naturally sweet if you want a bit more sweetness.

I haven't found any cereal that's low enough in carbs. And the low sugar ones only taste nice if you cover them in sugar Hmm

They taste fine to me, i found it didnt take long to find most things too sweet once i started keeping to low sugar. I dont really take too much notice of carbs but try to go for wholegrains and high fibres which seem to work for me

Eat natural low sugar granola 16.5 grams of carbs per 50 g .

Forgot to say i always have a boiled egg and a bowl of low sugar muesli , or porridge with almond milk, or sometimes home made yoghurt and a hand full of berries on top
At weekend i sometimes have a griddles wholegrain waffle with yoghurt fresh fruit and nuts and a sprinkling of naturya strawberry chia+

To be fair I did train my palate to like cereal without sugar. Until I was diagnosed T2 and told to avoid carbs as much as possible until things are more stable.

You need Paleo Co granola - it's 6g carbs for 40g granola. I have it with yoghurt and berries most mornings.

It's in Sainsbury's and Waitrose, not cheap but I buy a few packs whenever I see it on offer.
