Online Monitoring

I have been Type 2 for a long time and so you'd think I'd be better at monitoring, but I am terrible because I absolutely hate needles, dithering over dinking my finger for ages. I'm fine with the phlebotimist because I have no control over when they do it (I don't look).

Does anyone have any experience of a reliable online app? You know, the sort where you stick something to your arm and pass the monitor/mobile phone over it? I am due to see the nurse shortly, but I have a very patchy record of my blood sugars levels. I'd like to be able to give them a better recent history (and see where I am more often during the day).

I use the freestyle libre 2, honestly love it, quick and easy to put on, don't even feel it although the first time the needle does look scary but you actually don't feel it, stays on for 2 weeks then needs replacing. They aren't cheap unfortunately and getting them on the NHS is extremely difficult, even for Type 1s, type 2s don't usually qualify for them which means £100 a month for them but I'd say they're worth it, gives immediate readings to my phone and alarms when going low or high, don't have to prick my finger 100 times a day.

I’m type 1 and on the Libre 2, I much prefer after years of finger pricks.
