I was diagnosed t2 over 10 years ago in the last couple of years my control has been awful. I am now trying hard to get things under control I've noticed in the last few days when my sugars get to 7ish I start to feel really unwell as though I am too low. How do I get my sugars under control without feeling as if I'm too low?

When your blood sugars have been running high over a period of time, you often have 'false hypos' when they start to come back down again. It will get better after a while. It's good you're getting back control. Are you on any meds or just diet control?

Do you have any medication? If no injections are taken, then you are not as severe, but in any case, you can actually reverse diabetes following a strict diet.

Even the diabetes organization here admitted how it can be reversed: www.diabetes.co.uk/type2-diabetes.html - where they say the following: "In recent years, it has become apparent that many people with type 2 diabetes are able to reverse diabetes through methods including low-carb diets, very-low-calorie diets and exercise."

That said - they don't specifically say how, but this article (here: humancure.com/treating-hypoglycemia-using-natural-methods/ ) talks about how to resolve low blood sugar - this diet is given to anyone with high blood sugar, as well as low blood sugar problems (including diabetes).

If you consult with your doctor (as diabetes is different on individual basis) before you start the above diet, you will see how all aches, pains, and low energy, and all symptoms will start to disappear over a period of time - you should aim to stay on the diet for at least 1-2 years - but build it gradually.

The biggest problem with diabetes is that patients find it hard to eat the foods they need to be eating, and hard to avoid the foods. So it is a matter of building discipline. I went through this personally, and have fully fixed myself and am not considered diabetic anymore, and ever since have been promoting this diet, and lifestyle for everyone.

But do ask your doctor, as each case is different, and I want you getting better and not worse! =)
