Health problems before birth

This is my first post so I'll be as brief as possible.

Myself and the expectant mother of my child are not together currently, which of course is not ideal, but we've both decided it's for the best.

On top of this I'm in the middle of my driving lessons, starting a new job, in the process of getting a mortgage and becoming a dad for the first time, so it's definitely a stressful time.

On top of this I've been suffering bouts of vertigo, light headedness, coughing up blood...all leading me to do a bunch of blood tests which have shown nothing and an onoscopy?? (where they put a camera down your throat to see inside your stomach.

My daughter is also now 6 days overdue and could come at any moment and these health issues still haven't been sorted. I'm extremely anxious (diagnosed with OCD) and I think all these life events have manifested into hypochondria; it's becoming a living hell.

My priority now is my daughter and I want to be as mentally and physically prepared as possible, but I'm feeling quite depressed.

Does anyone have any advice?

You have got a lot going on so try and put things into perspective. Yes, I appreciate that you have obviously not been feeling at your best but you have a lot going on in your life at the moment. What you have described is positive steps in your life (driving lessons, mortgage) and the impeding birth of your daughter is very exciting and will change your life in the best possible way.

You have described yourself as anxious and I can relate to that but you can live with it and not let it take over your life. Make sure that you are eating well and getting plenty of sleep if you can as both can impact on your mental health. Is there anyone you can talk to outside of online forums? Obviously you have been to your GP regarding the tests - can you speak to them about your mental health and the issue with OCD (assuming that you haven't already)?

It's easy to say but try to avoid overthinking and keep focusing and planning on what you can do practically. You have plenty to keep you busy and even busier very soon!

Good luck, congratulations on your impending parenthood and I hope that all goes well for you going forward.
